KAOH Media is the nation's leading public relations and public affairs firm specializing in clean energy, sustainable infrastructure, and ESG-driven investments.

CASE STUDY: KAOH MEDIA

SERVICE:  UX + UI + VISUAL SYSTEM

YEAR: 2022

Approach

KAOH Media came to the table with a clear mission but a website that struggled to deliver it with clarity or visual impact. I began with a full content and brand audit, looking at what was working, what was causing confusion, and how the site measured up to other players in the ESG and clean energy space. Through conversations with their leadership team, I uncovered a core tension: they had deep sector expertise and a powerful value proposition, but their site wasn’t reflecting that authority or guiding users effectively. The biggest challenge was translating a broad, complex offering—spanning solar, wind, hydrogen, carbon capture, and more—into something digestible and navigable for diverse audiences like developers, regulators, investors, and community partners.

Solution

 

I designed the new site from the ground up, creating a cleaner, more modern layout with a simplified hero area that immediately communicated KAOH’s core value proposition: “Accelerating Approval. Earning Trust. Powering Progress.” To support clarity and structure, I introduced sector-specific visual cues—like iconography and badges—so each page could stand on its own while reinforcing the larger brand. Typography and color palette choices were refined for legibility and hierarchy, balancing high contrast neutrals with subtle accent tones for calls-to-action. I restructured content-heavy areas like case studies and service offerings into accessible formats using grids and card-based layouts that allowed visitors to quickly scan success stories, project types, and client impact. Navigation and mobile responsiveness were also prioritized, ensuring users could reach relevant content.

Impact

Post-launch, KAOH Media saw an increase in contact form submissions and lead conversions, along with reduced bounce rates and longer average time on key pages like “Sectors” and “Services.” Stakeholders responded positively to the redesign, noting that the site finally matched the quality, clarity, and precision of their work. The platform now allows for easier scalability—enabling the team to add new sectors, case studies, and regional offerings without compromising design consistency. The result is a digital presence that reflects the credibility of their work and the complexity of the markets they serve, while staying user-friendly and visually cohesive.
