So, what do you do?
I receive this question a lot. From my clients to my own family members. My job description seems to always have a question mark.
1. I have an education in design. In college, I learned the principles of graphic design and communication. This includes gaining knowledge in the following: composition, balance, color, page layout, and typography. I also studied the history of art, architecture, and Design.
2. I learned the tools of the trade. I always say that graphic design designers are skilled tradesmen and women. We know and use specific software to get the job done. For example, the adobe creative suite includes Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
Here is the Answer: I make things using the skills listed above. My focus is on branding. However, I also do work for large corporations and businesses as a contracted designer. I design graphics for national advertising and social media campaigns. I cannot present that work as I am under NDA disclosures. Check out my portfolio page to see some of my recent work.
How much will this cost me?
Great question. MLC is a midwest studio and therefore affordable.
Melanie is also a professional experienced designer and our prices reflect that.
I work on monthly retainers, flat rates, and hourly. We can cater to what your company is looking for. MLC offers special pricing catered to small businesses and startups. These are quick-start projects that can be completed in six weeks.
